Happy Monday! We here at IACW are loving this nice weather! If you have not already done so please fill out the sunscreen permission slip so we can put sunscreen on your child(ren). 🧴We also have such exciting news! We are officially licensed for the infant and large motor rooms! TODAY, May 15 is our first day opening the infant room as we are so excited to meet all our new families!❤ Also a reminder we will be

⭐CLOSED on Monday, May 29 for Memorial Day.⭐ As the season is changing we also want to remind you all that we ask our friends to be in close toed shoes. This is safer to run around in and more comfortable to explore in. 👟

Recap: Last week’s book was Are You My Mother by, P.D. Eastman. Throughout the week our friends made gifts for Mother’s Day, discussed who we consider to be our mother’s/main caretakers, and of course had so much fun outside getting some fresh air and our sillies out. On Friday, we had a visit from the Silvis Library to read a book and talked about the importance of reading even in the summer.📚 Last week was also Teacher Appreciation Week! Our teachers were acknowledged throughout the week on a job well done! ☺

This week: This week’s book is The Things My Grandmother Says To Me by Ana Galán. I am sure we all can think of some funny things our grandmothers have said to us, and we are eager to hear some stories from our friends. 😉This week is full of sunshine again so we will be spending much time outside before those very hot months approach!☀A friendly reminder to go through your child(ren)’s cubbies to switch out their clothes so they are comfortable with the new season. We ask that every child has 2 pairs of clothes, and socks to change into, along with shoes.

Under Construction: Since we are now licensed and ready to move the kids into the large motor area, we will begin phase 2 of this process very soon! We will keep you updated on where to drop off/ pick up. Also we are NOT planning on closing during this process. We will be having HyVee catering provide us our meals since our kitchen will be under construction. We are so excited to keep things moving! 🥪
