We are so close to nearing the end of our summer programs and are eager to start our fall! With that being said we are working on getting August calendars out to you as well, hopefully by next week! If you have any questions regarding the change of seasons please let us know!
Recap (preschool): Last week’s book was Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown. This was such a sweet book to read before taking a nap throughout the week, and trying to find the mouse was a huge hit! Many of our friends also made so many connections from home to school with this book as well! Our friends also went to Music on the lawn again last Wednesday, where they got up and moved to their bodies and had a sweet treat to end. On Friday was our River Bandits family night, and it was so much fun watching the game and some fireworks with our families and friends and teachers. Thanks to all who came to this fun night!
Recap (school age): Last week was Summer Superheros Assemble! On Monday our big kids went to the Taxslayer for a Stepping Up For Summer Learning. The kids enjoyed some activities to get their brains working and bodies moving. Although they were a little nervous about what to expect, all in all it was a great and fun day!
Throughout the week they also did many superhero activities and games, and had their final day of Junior chefs.
This week (preschool): This week’s book is Where The Wild Things Are by Marirce Sendak. This is a classic in the center and always one of the favorites for the kiddos. They have so much fun making the sounds with the animals, and although this is a longer sitting time for them, they do great following along with it, keeping them engaged. On Thursday is our final water day of the summer season, which will definitely be a splash of a time! On Friday our school age friends will be coming to the main center to put on a Carnival Day! There will be lots of games, activities, a show, and country style ice cream! It will be a great way to end the week!
This week (school age): This week is Come One! Come All! To go along with their Carnival they are putting on for our preschoolers on Friday! To start this fun, creative week they will be going to Elevate trampoline park on Monday! Please sign the permission slip AND Elevates slip as well.
