We are working on the August calendar and will get those out to you shortly. We also have our River Bandits game on Friday! If you preordered tickets we will have those for you to pick up! The gates open at 6 and the game will start around 6:45! If you have any questions please feel free to reach out!

Recap (Preschool): Last week’s book was Lucy’s Light! Our friends got to do see lightning bugs, find out some facts about lightning bugs, do an activity guessing Ms. Alecia and Ms. Shelby’s baby genders, crafts, and more! What do you think they are having? On Friday we had another water day, which went perfect for the hot summer heat, which of course led to a fun water balloon fight.

Recap (School age): Last week the school agers had IACW Camp! They did lots of outdoor activities which got switched to indoor due to heat, camping crafts, campfire stories, and more. On Thursday they had a field trip to Loud Thunder where they did some fishing, camping activities, baseball, played on the playground, and so many more fun outdoor activities! They also did a water balloon fight and water day on Friday, which I am sure I speak for all of them was a great way to cool off especially from their hot but entertaining field trip on Thursday.

This week (preschool): This week’s book of focus is Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown. This book is always a favorite in the center and I am sure at home too, making this week extra sweet and special. Throughout the week our friends will read the book before nap, do some mouse crafts, try to find the mouse, play outside, have a field trip, and our family night. What a busy week! To make this book even more fun, if you have it try reading it at home and do their vocab words with them. Our friends love to make those connections! The vocab words for this week are, clock, mush, night, moon, and tucked.

This week (School age): This week is all about Summer Super Heroes Assemble! To start out the week our friends are going to Stepping Up For Summer Learning at the Taxslayer. Throughout the week they will be finding their “super powers” by acts of kindness, what they are good at or enjoying doing, and so many other ways to be a superhero. To end the week Junior Chefs will be coming for their final session, as the kids have loved having them.
